Plagiarism and Publication Ethics Statement
The Frontiers of Agriculture and Food Technology is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, scientific integrity, and responsible research practices. The journal provides an international platform for publishing high-quality research in agriculture, food science, food technology, crop production, agricultural engineering, sustainable farming, food safety, biotechnology, post-harvest technology, and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff are expected to adhere to internationally recognized ethical principles that promote honesty, transparency, accountability, and excellence in scholarly publishing.
Authors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are original, scientifically rigorous, and have not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal. Any text, figures, tables, photographs, datasets, or ideas derived from previously published work must be properly acknowledged through accurate citation and referencing. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate image manipulation, and any other form of research or publication misconduct. Manuscripts found to violate these ethical standards may be rejected during editorial assessment or, if published, may be corrected, retracted, or subject to other appropriate editorial actions following a fair and thorough investigation.
Authors are responsible for conducting their research in compliance with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical and legal requirements. Studies involving human participants, including consumer surveys, sensory evaluation, or community-based research, should receive approval from the appropriate ethics committee where required, and informed consent must be obtained from all participants. Research involving animals must comply with recognized animal welfare guidelines, and authors should obtain approval from the appropriate ethics committee before commencing studies involving livestock or laboratory animals. Field experiments, environmental studies, and research involving genetically modified organisms or biological materials should comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and necessary permits.
The journal requires authors to disclose all sources of funding, financial support, and any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, or reporting of the research. Individual author contributions should be clearly described to ensure transparency and accountability. Authors are encouraged to retain original research data and, where appropriate, make supporting datasets available to facilitate verification, reproducibility, and future scientific investigation.
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, objective, confidential, and timely editorial process. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, unbiased, and confidential evaluations while declaring any conflicts of interest that could affect their independent assessment.
If concerns regarding publication ethics arise before or after publication, the journal will investigate them promptly, fairly, and confidentially. When necessary, appropriate editorial actions—including corrections, expressions of concern, or article retractions—will be implemented to preserve the integrity, reliability, and transparency of the published scientific record.
