African Journal of Dairy Farming and Milk Production, published by KevinPage, is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal covering dairy science and production systems across African farming contexts. We publish original research, field studies, and critical reviews on dairy animal health, milk production, and the economics of dairy farming.
Scope. We welcome submissions on (but not limited to):
- Dairy cattle breeding, genetics, and productivity
- Animal health, nutrition, and welfare in dairy systems
- Milk quality, processing, and safety
- Smallholder and commercial dairy farming systems
- Dairy value chains and market access
- Climate resilience in dairy production
- Reproductive management in dairy herds
- Dairy farming policy and rural livelihoods
Peer review. Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers with a personal, financial, or institutional connection to a submitted manuscript are recused from the process.
Open access. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, with no subscription or paywall for readers, and no fee charged to authors for publication.
Publication ethics. The journal follows COPE guidelines on authorship, data integrity, plagiarism, and conflicts of interest. Studies involving animal subjects are expected to confirm appropriate ethical and welfare standards.
